 Friends, PWs, Jeremys, lend me your eyes! Here we are, I did a massive update from Round 5 to Round 8. Alina's been on an OTTN spree, Lex gets those MORPs for having shitty allies and being a nice guy, Edgardo has been less active but I had to give him a CPN for the Malcolm blindside. Kelly is the new stable narrator, with Charlie right behind her in that sense. Natalie's been more prominent even if her confessionals are minimal, so double MORNs. Denise...why is she still here? Prediction chart run-down: Kelly was frontrunner every round until the Colby blindside, where...Alina...took the reigns there, only to be usurped by Queen Kelly. Edgardo's made a name from himself there due to the fact he conned the fuck out of Dampier and they ate up his bullshit. Alina stays only because the others like her and it's good to have an underdog in the mix, because she has the social skills to pull something, but not the strategic skills. |

 And here we are. I'm bold enough to make the statement that Kelly will win, and I'm marking it so. Time to take a look at some of the cool shit that happened in a very exciting pre-merge with 2 or 3 cool merge rounds. (This has actually turned into Gabon - amazing characters and an amazing pre-merge, but a relatively boring merge with only a few exciting things). If I could give Natalie's exit speech OTTNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN5, I would, but that's not a thing and occupies way too much space. After being an UTR bitch to a massive, raging one, talk about a way to leave. This was like watching Colton dump his tribe's rice at Bill while accusing Steve of being a racist. It was an absolute trainwreck in the worst god damn possible way. Lex is by far the best character of the season. An early target due to his lack of social grace who stepped into a leadership role while being negative, he turned into the only true positive character in the merge, as he watched his alliance explode due to Edgardo, THE PERSON HE WARNED THEM ABOUT. Sorry Alina, but Lex is by far my favorite player in the game. If only he could sway Alina more. Kelly's confessionals, although sometimes harder to read due to copypaste AIM convos, are the best. There isn't the ego of Alina, there isn't the misinformation of Lex, and there isn't the stress of Charlie (That's on Alina). Kelly was an excellent post-merge narrator, and a great game player. She was able to stay safe and build bonds with key players while removing those detrimental to her game. Keeping Alina over Natalie secured her a spot in the finals, and she should be a lock to win. Malcolm in defeat is absolutely wonderful, because he correctly looked back and saw many of his mistakes. He accurately finds the spots where he messed up, and is probably going to be the most improved player. I really hope Alina can look at her confessionals, then at her allies, and realize how arrogant and wrong she was about the game. The false sense of entitlement and delusional preachings got old, and her winning would have, at least to me, soured the season. It would be like watching Russell win Heroes vs. Villains over Sandra, just because we got to love Sandra (Kelly) while Russell (Alina) made more arguments every day for why we shouldn't like him. However, Alina is a great person in real life, and hopefully she doesn't take this personally. Props to Denise for embracing her goat-ness, and realizing she has an uphill battle to win unlike other goats we've seen in actual Survivor (Lil, Fillup, Russell x2) |
