So, remember my last confessional? I'm sure some of you read it and thought, "That Lex is getting a wee bit cocky." You were right. Oh, man, I am so goddamn heated right now that I'm having trouble keeping my thoughts coherent. Because it turns out that my #1 ride or die partner Alina got played like a motherfucking Strat by fucking Edgardo and Katie. I have no idea how the hell she let this happen. Let me see if I can piece this together for you folks.
So Monica's been basically incommunicado since the tribal switch. She appeared online for a brief moment to let us know she was dealing with a sick friend at the hospital. Other than that, the only thing anyone's heard from her was a one word sentence: "Monica." So, when we lost, the vote was simple. TOO simple. And so, Edgardo and Katie went to Alina (and I assume Charlie) and told her to look at the answers in Tribal Council. It seems that Monica and Chet posted their answers within one minute of each other. "See?" Edgardo says to Alina, "they're working together! What if Monica has an idol? We need to split the vote!" Now, the idea that Monica has an idol is laughable. I would be more shocked if Monica had an idol than I would have been if Jesus showed up at my door with a sixer to play some video games. But it seems that Edgardo inspired the requisite amount of panic into Alina (and Charlie) to get them to vote for Chet.
To compound the fucking issue, after she voted, Alina was having a conversation with Chet, trying to feel him out about Monica and if she had an idol or not. Chet showed me the convo, and it was one of the most clumsy conversations I've ever seen. Alina said she was trying to frame to Chet how and why the vote was split, but the hosts were a little too efficient in putting up the results of TC. So before she could fully explain herself, Chet saw the two votes he got, put two and two together, and stopped talking to her.
Now, I've got this shit sandwich to deal with. The good thing, because it's the truth, is Chet believes me when I tell him I had nothing whatsoever to do with the vote. In fact, I was caught flatfooted when I spoke to him, as I flat out accused Edgardo and Katie of voting for him only to find all this out. Now, Chet doesn't know just how tight Alina and I are, so I still have some room to work with. I just don't know how to keep Chet on my side and Alina. I have to find a way to overcome this setback and keep us working together. But, if nothing else, I've learned that Alina needs a script to stay on point. I'm just going to have to work harder, I guess. Fuck, becoming a millionaire isn't as easy as it used to be.
